Asatru Folk Assembly (AFA)

The Asatru Folk Assembly is a largely California-based neo-Volkish hate group with chapters in various states. Asatru is a Norse pagan religious sect, and while it is not a racist religion in itself, it has been adopted by some white supremacists. The AFA has adopted a racial version of Asatru which is more frequently called "Odinism." AFA emphasizes white identity, claiming white ethnic Europeans are superior to other races, and proclaims the need to protect the pure white race from extinction.

This database provides an overview of many of the terms and individuals used by or associated with movements and groups that subscribe to and/or promote extremist or hateful ideologies across the political and ideological spectrum. It is not all inclusive.
